Coney's Frozen Custard

If you've never tried frozen custard, you do not know what you are missing! Frozen custard has a smoother, richer texture than ice cream. My husband says it feels like butter melting on his tongue. Coney's Frozen Custard is an excellent place to take a date. Because the frozen custard is so rich, you can be satisfied with a smaller size. Coney's offers chocolate and vanilla everyday in addition to their Flavor of the Day. If you are searching for a bargain to feed a larger group, check the freezer at the back of the store for pints and quarts of the previous day's flavor. For a little more than the price of 2 single scoops, you can get a quart! Get it home quickly because it melts fast!

Outback's Coconut Shrimp

To my great surprise, Outback has added coconut shrimp to its menu! I had to give it a whirl. I was pleasantly surprised. The shrimp were plump and fried golden-crisp. In fact, I think that the coconut shrimp at Outback is better than the coconut shrimp at Red Lobster. However, I still maintain that Red Lobster has the best dipping sauce. Outback only offered an orange marmelade for dipping (which wasn't bad, but nothing special like the pina colada sauce). Best advice...stop by Red Lobster to pick up some of their sauce, and then head to Outback for the yummiest coconut shrimp!
